Barcelona-Yerevan flight arrives more than 12 hours late to destination

The flight from Barcelona, Spain, to Yerevan, Armenia, scheduled for Monday, has arrived more than 12 hours late to the Armenian capital city.

One of the passengers on this flight told Sputnik Armenia that the FlyOne Armenia airline plane that was to conduct this flight was caught in a thunderstorm and hail, which had caused cracks in the windshield and damage to the front of the plane.

“We were told that flying on this plane is extremely dangerous, it needs to be repaired, which will take a long time. We had to wait more than 6 hours for a new plane from Yerevan to arrive in Barcelona, on which we returned to our homeland,” the passenger said.

This flight was scheduled to depart at 20:35 Barcelona time and land in Yerevan at 03:15 local time.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia reported that the delay was due to a technical problem.
