Iran expects support and cooperation from its friends and comrades in difficult days, and Armenia and Iran are centuries-old friends, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami told a press conference Monday.
“In the end, all difficult days pass, but we are by each other’s side and always support each other. I express my appreciation and gratitude for all the words of condolences and support that have been expressed so far,” the ambassador said.
As for Iran’s relations with Azerbaijan, taking into account this country’s ties with Israel, the ambassador emphasized that Azerbaijan is also a neighboring country, and Tehran wants to have good relations with all neighbors.
“If there are certain anti-Iranian elements anywhere, they must be monitored and managed so that there are no problems in the relations between the two countries. The more we can be guided in this way, that friendship and camaraderie will continue that much more,” the Iranian diplomat noted.
