US President Donald Trump, during a remote speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, said he “would like to be able to meet with President Putin soon to put an end to this war,” according to NBC News.

“It’s not in terms of economics or anything else,” Trump said. – It’s in terms of millions of lives being wasted.”

Noting that he had seen images of what was happening, Trump said “it’s a bloodbath and we really have to stop this war,” though he did not mention any plans for how his administration plans to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump repeatedly vowed during his campaign to end the war between Ukraine and Russia on the first day of his presidency, but the war continues.
