The Pope’s condition is critical

Pope Francis’ condition continues to be critical. This morning, Pope Francis developed a prolonged asthmatic respiratory crisis that required high-flow oxygen therapy, Vatican News reports.

It is noted that today’s blood tests revealed thrombocytopenia associated with anemia, which required a blood transfusion.

He spent the day in a chair, although he was suffering more than yesterday. The prognosis is guarded at this point.
