Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at the end of the talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the meeting could take place either tonight or tomorrow. He reported that the Ukrainian delegation has already left Ankara for Istanbul. Before that, he announced that the head of the delegation will be Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul were scheduled for May 15. The Russian delegation arrived in Istanbul on Thursday morning, headed by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. The start time of the talks has not been set yet, Kommersant news agency reported.
