The chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has instructed to open a criminal investigation into the incident at the Yerevan monument to the children of besieged Leningrad, informed the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Bastrykin instructed the central staff of the Russian Investigative Committee to launch a criminal investigation into this fact and, in cooperation with the Russian Foreign Ministry, to find out all the circumstances behind this incident, the respective statement noted.
Information appeared on social media and mass media Monday that a man in Armenia’s capital of Yerevan threw away the wreaths from the monument to the children of besieged Leningrad.
