Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear that no one can “hooliganize” with drones in Russia. This was stated by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Kyiv’s attacks on Russian regions.

“If you keep on hooliganing, you’ll get it,” the Kremlin spokesman told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, TASS reported.

 Peskov noted that Russia will continue to ensure its security – regardless of the course of negotiations and statements by US President Donald Trump.

Commenting on the words of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Dmitry Peskov noted that if the statements about the decision to increase the range of weapons supplied to Ukraine are true, it is a serious escalation.

 “Mertz is being riddled with spin at the moment. Indeed, there is no clarity,” he said. Peskov recalled that at first Merz claimed that the Europeans had made such a decision together with London, with the Cabinet member denying such information. Merz later continued to insist on the adoption of such a decision, however, with information that it was taken several months ago. 

According to Peskov, such actions, if they really were, are an escalation, and a very serious one at that. He noted that such steps contradict the attempts of the peace process on Ukraine and the possibilities to negotiate.

He added that Europe and the USA did not want to notice Ukraine’s drone strikes on Russian peaceful facilities.
