Pretrial detention of Armenian Catholicos’ brother extended for 2 months

The court of general jurisdiction of Armenia’s Armavir Province has extended the pretrial detention of Gevorg Nersisyan, brother of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, for another two months.

Gevorg Nersisyan and his son, Hambardzum Nersisyan, are accused of hooliganism and obstructing election campaigning in Vagharshapat city, better known as Ejmiatsin.
