Pope skips Sunday blessing due to health reasons

Pope Francis the First missed his Sunday blessing, but his recovery from surgery is going well and he has begun physical therapy, the Vatican informs.

The 86-year-old Pope did not say his traditional Sunday noon “Angelus” prayer in public or watch the mass on TV, the statement said.

The Pontiff will be in the hospital for at least this week and all audiences have been canceled until June 18th.
