(…). Experts warn that the number of minors and women using narcotic drugs has increased.
On February 1, by the decision of the RA government, an interdepartmental commission for the prevention of illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances [in Armenia] was established, whose makeup includes the heads of relevant departments of the police, health, justice, defense ministries, the NSS [(National Security Service)], Prosecutor General’s Office, Investigative Committee, and the SRC [(State Revenue Committee)]. (…).
However, narcotic drugs are mostly sold on online platforms, whereas law enforcement agencies do not have enough technical means to counter it.
