National Security Service of Armenia confirms information about the discovery of teenagers trapped in Azerbaijan

In addition to the statement published today, we inform you that the minor residents of the Tegh community in the Syunik region who got lost have been found and are now in the Republic of Armenia. The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia reported this.

“We will provide additional information later,” the statement said.

Еarlier, the National Security Service of Armenia reported   that two minor residents of Syunik province got lost and ended up in the territory of Azerbaijan.

According to the information obtained, residents of the Tegh community of RA Syunik province Karen Armen Jhangiryan (born on 27.06.2007) and Andrey Armen Gyagunts (born on 13.01.2008) got lost on June 6, 2025 at around 1:20 a.m. in the area adjacent to Aravus village of Syunik province, and ended up in the territory of Azerbaijan.

All necessary measures are being taken to establish the whereabouts of the citizens and ensure their safe return,  the statement said.
