Indian travel agency Cox & Kings has announced its decision to suspend sales of all travel packages to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkey in light of the current geopolitical environment and in line with the broader sentiments in the country. This was reported by Hindustan Times.
Company director Karan Agarwal said: “We also advise Indian travelers to exercise caution and avoid any non-essential travel to these destinations until there is greater clarity and coherence in the broader geopolitical environment.”
According to Loktej English, another platform, EaseMyTrip, warned travelers that Turkey and Azerbaijan have expressed support for Pakistan and customers are advised to consider travel to these countries only if absolutely necessary.
Travomint even announced a complete suspension of sales of travel packages to Turkey and Azerbaijan. The company backed a nationwide call to boycott travel to these countries amid growing diplomatic tensions. It added that customers canceling bookings to these destinations will not be charged.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey have openly sided with Pakistan in the conflict with India.
