The Russian Embassy in Armenia has confirmed the summoning of Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), and noted that the Armenian side’s concerns regarding the statements made during a Russian state television program will be conveyed to the Russian MFA.

The Russian diplomatic mission in Yerevan told TASS that the Russian ambassador was indeed summoned to the Armenian MFA, where he was handed a note of protest regarding the statements made by Russian broadcaster and commentator Vladimir Solovyov.

“Yes, indeed, we confirm. The ambassador was summoned to the Armenian MFA. He was handed a note of protest. The Armenian side’s concerns regarding Solovyov’s statements will be conveyed to the Russian MFA,” the Russian Embassy in Armenia reported.

Earlier today, a note of protest was handed to the Russian ambassador to Armenia regarding Vladimir Solovyov’s statements.
