The church of the only Armenian village in Turkey has suffered damages by the two powerful earthquakes that hit the country last week.
Berc Kartun, the head of Vakifli village which is located at the foot of Mount Musa, told Gazeteduvar that some houses of the village, its Church of the Mother of God, and the school were damaged as a result of the Kahramanmaras quakes.
The prefect of this village added, however, that Vakifli is one of the few settlements in the region where there were no casualties as a result of these earthquakes.
