Azerbaijani political scientist Rusif Huseynov, the Co-founder and Director of Topchubashov Center, a Baku-based think tank, on Tuesday stated this during the international Orbeli Forum being held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia..

“I don’t know whether ordinary citizens of Armenia like the term ‘Zangezur corridor’ or not, but in the Azerbaijani concept, the notion of the ‘Zangezur corridor’ has a broader scope,” he added.

Huseynov noted that it is necessary to wait for the negotiations between the United States and Armenia to determine what kind of agreement the sides will reach regarding the format of implementing the TRIPP project.

He called on people to wait and see how this project operates, and only after that to focus on implementing others.

However, they withdrew even before their mandate expired. It is still unclear what Russia and other external players can offer the region now,” said the Azerbaijani political scientist.
