Armenia president exchanges views with Colombia FM on prospects of identifying potential of cooperation

The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Luis Gilberto Murillo, within the framework of his working visit to Colombia, the president’s office informs.

At the meeting, the need to intensify the relations between the two countries and to take respective steps was emphasized on both sides, and views were exchanged on the prospects of identifying and implementing the mutual potential of Armenia-Colombia collaboration.

The parties noted that the geographical distance between the two countries cannot be an obstacle for the start of their cooperation in various domains, especially when Armenia has friendly relations with and embassies in several Latin American countries.

During the talk, the Armenian president lauded the work carried out by Colombia in a short period of time to properly host the sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
