Armenia ex-President Armen Sarkissian: Freedom and victory are not gifts but are obtained through will and effort

Fourth President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian on Tuesday issued a statement on Victory and Peace Day. The statement reads as follows:

“Let us remember all those who fought with the confidence to win and the determination not to lose; those who fell for victory and peace.

“They were all convinced that freedom and victory were not gifts, but were obtained through will and effort, often at the cost of life and health.

“I bow to their bravery and their immortal memory.”
