A request has been submitted to arrest Armenia’s former economy minister, Vahan Kerobyan, his legal defender Tigran Yegoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the lawyer, Kerobyan does not accept the charges against him.

As reported earlier, Vahan Kerobyan is facing a case on corruption abuses. On February 16, 2024, a house arrest measure was applied to him for a period of two months. And on April 13, his house arrest was extended for another two months.

Initially, there were eight defendants in this case, some of whom were employees of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, while others were from the private sector. The criminal case, however, was closed against six of the eight defendants — and based on active remorse.
