Export of commercial quantities of phytosanitary sub-inspection cargo from Armenia by individuals will be prohibited starting from Friday.

According to the Eurasian Economic Union technical regulations, the total weight of phytosanitary sub-inspection products being transported by individuals for personal use cannot exceed 5 kilograms, the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“We call on business operators and citizens to organize the export process exclusively in accordance with the established requirements, having previously clarified the phytosanitary requirements applicable to the products being exported.

The Food Safety Inspectorate will continue to carry out consistent supervision and provide necessary advice to exporters, ensuring full compliance with the safety of phytosanitary products and export requirements,” the statement adds.
