‘Zangezur corridor’ agreement in Washington has historic significance, Organization of Turkic States’ chief says

The agreement on the “Zangezur Corridor” reached in Washington has historic significance, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, said at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the OTS held in Qabala, Azerbaijan.

Omuraliev added that this agreement will considerably strengthen the Turkic world, and create new transit opportunities.

“Our countries’ economies amount to 2.1 trillion [US] dollars, and our trade turnover is 1.1 trillion dollars. However, we are using only 7 percent of our potential,” the OTS chief noted.
