The US says it has shot down two more drones threatening the Strait of Hormuz after Washington and Tehran continued to trade strikes on Saturday.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, US Centcom said it had shot down two Iranian one-way attack drones in a bid to \u201cdefend against Iranian aggression.\u201d<\/p>\n
It comes after the US military said it downed six Iranian ballistic missiles launched towards its Gulf allies, while a seventh missile failed to reach its target. Tehran responded confirming it targeted a US airbase in Kuwait and the US Navy\u2019s 5th Fleet in Bahrain<\/p>\n
It comes after Donald Trump claimed Iran\u2019s military has been \u201ctotally destroyed\u201d by three months of conflict in the region.<\/p>\n
In a preview clip of a NBC interview, the US president also claimed he knows \u201cexactly\u201d how many missiles Iran has left, but refused to give a figure.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m moving very fast, I\u2019m into three months,\u201d he said. \u201cVietnam lasted 19 years, I\u2019m into my third month. We have totally destroyed their military.\u201d<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s foreign ministry later warned the US will be responsible for any consequences that emerge from its \u201cillegal actions\u201d in the current conflict.<\/p>\n
