In the next clinch, the ref lets them work, before physically pulling Wilder off the Briton. <\/p>\n
Chisora is marching forward, stooping and almost switching stances \u2013 or at least moving in a kind of in-between stance. <\/p>\n
Wilder with success in the corner now, as Chisora bends down and looks to be in danger of going over… <\/p>\n
A slow right hook effort from Chisora, a faster reply from Wilder which also misses. Now a huge right from Wilder almost turns Chisora around!! Wow…<\/p>\n
Chisora grabs ahold of Wilder and must be careful late in the round. Chisora looks at the ref and motions to his own right eye, but there\u2019s no reprieve: Wilder SMACKS him with two harsh shots in the final seconds!<\/p>\n

But the Brit comes back with a big counter right! This is exactly what we expected, exactly what fans wanted.<\/p>\n

After a while, Chisora stumbles to his knees after a bit of a throw from Wilder, who is stronger than he looks. <\/p>\n

Chisora promised he\u2019d go for a first-round KO, and he gets right after Wilder, stooping low and swinging over the top. <\/p>\n
He then bullies Wilder, who is 40lb lighter, against the ropes. Chisora was always going to do this in phases tonight.<\/p>\n
They soon separate, and Chisora lands a few clubbing blows, but also walks past the outstretched jab hand of Wilder and onto a couple of counter rights.<\/p>\n
More wrestling on the ropes, with Wilder actually getting the better of the tussle for now. Back in the open, Wilder misses with a wild left hook. <\/p>\n
Both men land rabbit punches in the clinch, and they nearly topple over the top rope!!<\/p>\n
The ref separates them, with help from one of Chisora\u2019s coaches, who should NOT be running into the ring! What a wild first round, wild…<\/p>\n

If Wilder can turn back the clock and is not as gun-shy as he\u2019s been in recent years, he really could get Chisora out of there \u2013 and his KO of Robert Helenius a few years ago showed that, even on the back foot when not loading up, he has natural power on the counter. Delboy could walk onto a shot like that.<\/p>\n
But it\u2019s Chisora\u2019s very ability to walk through shots right until the final bell that makes me believe he will wear down a faded version of Wilder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Wilder\u2019s powers having significantly waned, I can\u2019t see the \u201cBronze Bomber\u201d doing what he needs to in the early rounds, putting the ball firmly in Chisora\u2019s court in the later rounds. <\/p>\n
