Brigadier General Morteza Ghorbani, senior adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said Iran\u2019s armed forces are at the highest level of readiness and prepared to respond decisively to any aggression by the United States or Israel, reports Mehr News Agency.<\/p>\n
Speaking about Iran\u2019s level of preparedness to respond to a potential attack by the United States or Israel, Ghorbani stated that 400 units from the IRGC and the Army are on full alert.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are ready. If any aggression occurs, they will level it [Israel] to the ground,\u201d Ghorbani said.<\/p>\n
He added that the Iranian Army, the IRGC, and the Law Enforcement Force are standing with their \u201chands on the trigger\u201d and in full operational readiness.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith pride, I say that the Army, the IRGC, and the police forces are fully prepared, he noted, stressing that this level of deterrence and strength stems from the legacy, name, and path of Martyr General Qassem Soleimani,\u201d Ghorbani said.<\/p>\n
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran warned that continued hostile conduct against the country will provoke a firm and proportionate response, according to a statement by the Supreme Defense Council Secretariat.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, the Secretariat of the Supreme Defense Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned the escalation of threatening language and interventionist remarks directed against the country.<\/p>\n
The statement emphasized that Iran\u2019s security, independence, and territorial integrity constitute an unbreakable red line, warning that any act of aggression or the persistence of hostile conduct will be met with a proportionate, firm, and decisive response.<\/p>\n
The Secretariat further noted that within the framework of legitimate self-defense, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not limit itself solely to responding after an action has taken place.<\/p>\n
