He is accused of seven offences including two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving following the incident on Water Street in the city centre, which injured 79 people.<\/p>\n
There is a heavy police presence outside the courtroom, which is just a few minutes walk away from the scene of the tragedy. At least 50 people were queuing this morning to get inside.<\/p>\n
The father-of-three was also charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of wounding with intent.<\/p>\n
Up to a million supporters had gathered to celebrate Liverpool\u2019s 20th league title in a 10-mile parade in the city.<\/p>\n

Doyle looked around at the dozens of reporters packing the courtroom as he was brought in from the cells, his face crumpling slightly as he held back tears.<\/p>\n
District Judge Paul Healey asked for the defendant to identify himself and in a croaky voice, Doyle confirmed his name, gave his date of birth and address in Liverpool<\/p>\n

Heavy police presence in Liverpool city CentreIn the city centre, I\u2019ve counted more than 30 police officers patrolling the area, Alex Ross reports.<\/p>\n
Many are stationed outside the Magistrates\u2019 court, which is only a short walk from Water Street.<\/p>\n
This is where the crash took place during the Liverpool parade on Monday. There is also a minibus serving as a mobile police station.<\/p>\n
