Trent Alexander-Arnold did not suffer a serious injury against Bournemouth on Saturday, a scan has revealed, in welcome news for Liverpool ahead of an intense run of fixtures.<\/p>\n
The initial diagnosis, confirmed by the club, revealed a knee injury sustained during the 2-0 win on the south coast. Alexander-Arnold went to ground in the second half holding his thigh and asked to be substituted.<\/p>\n
But he is expected to be missing for a matter of days rather than several weeks, and Arne Slot will be relieved given the schedule ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe situation is he said to me that you have to take me off and he sat on the floor and we took him off,\u201d Slot explained after the final whistle at Bournemouth. “He felt something, I can\u2019t tell you exactly what it was and how bad it is as we are (talking now) only just after the game.<\/p>\n
