With less than a week to go in the US presidential election race, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are making their final pitches to voters, with both appearing in battleground North Carolina on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The Democratic presidential nominee has been forced to respond to Joe Biden inadvertently whipping up a conservative media storm by seemingly calling Trump\u2019s supporters \u201cgarbage\u201d in response to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe\u2019s already-notorious Madison Square Garden joke about Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
Harris told reporters on Wednesday that she \u201cstrongly\u201d disagrees with any criticism of the public based on their voting intentions.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, at a rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Trump also addressed the president\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast night, Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters,\u201d he said. \u201cHe called them garbage and they mean it… even though, without question, my supporters are far higher quality than Crooked Joe or Lyin\u2019 Kamala.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cMy response to Joe and Kamla is very simple: You can\u2019t lead America if you don\u2019t love Americans, you just can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, Harris delivered her \u201cclosing argument\u201d in Washington DC, speaking on the very same spot from which Trump told his supporters to \u201cfight like hell\u201d on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n
