He said the Biden administration is closely monitoring the situation and reports that “Iranian officials are trying to blame the United States or Israel for the death of the Iranian president.”<\/p>\n
“They already have,” the official said, referring to a statement by Iran’s former foreign minister that U.S. sanctions were to blame for the lack of helicopter spare parts in the country.<\/p>\n
