A Russian missile attack killed four people, including a 10-year-old girl, and injured seven in Odesa district in southern Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Regional governor Oleh Kiper, writing on the Telegram messaging app, said one of the injured was in serious condition after having his legs amputated.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of another hostile terror in the Odesa region, four people were killed, including a child, and 14 others were injured – an investigation has been launched,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
Emergency teams were at the site, he said, and \u201cdoctors are doing all they can\u201d.<\/p>\n
The attack was on the 80th anniversary of Odesa\u2019s liberation from the Nazis in World War Two.<\/p>\n
It came after Volodymyr Zelensky slated Donald Trump\u2019s reported idea of giving up swathes of territory to Russia, branding it \u201cprimitive\u201d.<\/p>\n
The US presidential candidate is said to have suggested Kyiv cede Crimea and the Donbas to Vladimir Putin to end the war. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf the deal is that we just give up our territories, and that\u2019s the idea behind it, then it\u2019s a very primitive idea,\u201d Mr Zelensky told Politico.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t need a fantastic idea, I need a real idea, because people\u2019s lives are at stake.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, UK foreign secretary Lord Cameron urged US politicians: \u201cDon\u2019t listen to Putin\u2019s lies about Ukraine. It is a free democracy that wants to be an independent sovereign country, that wants to be our ally and our friend,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Trump, as he\u2019s already practically admitted, is not interested in helping President Biden get his plan through Congress; nor is he much bothered about the territorial integrity of Ukraine. He plainly regards the war as a waste of money and a lost cause \u2013 indeed, a cause for which he feels little sympathy.<\/p>\n
