Snow expected in most regions of Armenia; nighttime temperatures to drop by 14–18°C

As a result of a cyclone intrusion from the Mediterranean, snow is expected in most regions of the republic from the afternoon and evening of December 31, as well as on January 1–2. In some areas, heavy precipitation is forecast.

In certain zones of the mountainous regions, wind speed is also expected to increase to 18–23 m/s, with blizzards and low horizontal visibility. On the nights of January 3–4, air temperatures across the entire territory of the republic will drop by 14–18 degrees.

In Yerevan, snow is expected from the evening of December 31 and during the night and morning of January 1–2. Snow is also forecast during the daytime on December 31 and on January 1–2. From January 3 to 5, dry weather with no precipitation is expected.

On the afternoon of December 31 and on January 1–2, snow is expected in most regions of the republic, with heavy precipitation in some places; blizzards and low horizontal visibility are forecast in mountainous areas. From January 3 to 5, dry weather is expected. Winds will be northwesterly at 2–5 m/s, with strengthening up to 18–23 m/s in some areas during the daytime on December 31 and on January 1–2.

Air temperatures on the night of January 1 will rise by 9–11 degrees, then gradually decrease by 14–18 degrees on January 3–4.
