The US-Israeli war against the Iranian people has entered a dangerous new phase with deliberate strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei wrote on X.
“These attacks on fuel depots constitute nothing less than deliberate chemical warfare against Iranian citizens. By attacking fuel storage facilities, the aggressors are releasing hazardous materials and toxic substances into the air, poisoning the civilian population, destroying the environment and endangering human lives on a mass scale,” Baghei stated.
According to him, the consequences of this environmental and humanitarian catastrophe will not be confined to Iran’s borders.
“These strikes constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide — all at once,” he added.
Earlier, multiple US and Israeli strikes on oil storage facilities in Tehran and Alborz province were reported, with casualties confirmed.
